Double Vinyl Fictions
The setting changes. The character is the same: turtleneck, gold chain, and poetry. The story continues. It's called "Fictions," like a reference to Borges's short stories, where the fantastical always invites itself into the everyday. Fils Cara recounts his wanderings through the days, the reveries found there, and the exploration that follows. This is where the light emerges, when the veneer of social realism begins to crack.
With this second EP, Fils Cara broadens the horizons of a landscape constructed as closely as possible to words. With his own unique style, he develops and refines a poetic universe nourished by his journey and origins. His grandparents' Sicily. Saint-Étienne. The working-class world. The factory. His arrival in Paris. And then his mother, Carmela. Diminutive? Cara. She's like a lucky star on this project.
