CD Walk Tape Vol.01 - Walk in Paris

Independent label microqlima has teamed up with the hyperactive collective Walk in Paris to release a mixtape that surprises as much as it delights. This project brings together around twenty artists and friends, especially: Chilla, Nemir, Laylow, Sopico, Loveni, Crayon, Pierre Lamour, Lonely Band, Lossapardo, Ichon, Slimka, Axelle Laffont, Le Sid, The Hop, Julien Granel, Gracy Hopkins, Enchantée Julia, Prince Waly, Isha, Nelick, and Anna Majidson tickle our eardrums and earlobes throughout the 13 tracks.

Walk Tape Vol.01 is above all a question of encounters: that of Crayon, producer and musician, with Gary, co-founder of Walk In Paris, who dreams of this improbable mixtape. It is also the encounter with Antoine, the creator of microqlima (L'Impératrice, Isaac Delusion, Pépite, Quasi Qui and Fils Cara), who even before having a dream cast gathered around this idea, is interested in the project with only 4 tracks.

Long in the making, rushed through during lockdown, this mixtape was produced over the following summer in a Parisian hotel empty of guests, but bursting with energy and inspiration. This band of people who can do everything, or rather who dare to do everything, cherishes the passion that few have managed to keep intact.

Ultimately? It's an annual event between Walk in Paris and Microqlima to share new musical fusions and showcase emerging and established projects and artists. It's about creating a new language and new connections, with the label's projects and those we don't yet know.
